CUA Directors Statement
As we plan for the in-person Annual Meeting in June, the health, safety and well-being of our attendees remain our top priority. CUA has adopted preventative measures to reduce the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus at our Annual Meeting in accordance with current guidance provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada, Delta Prince Edward & PEI Convention Centre and the Safety Guidelines provided by the City of Charlottetown.
However, the responsibility for a safe and healthy event environment is shared among the event organizers, event venues and event attendees. Towards this end, all attendees are expected to comply with all applicable requirements imposed by the Canadian, Provincial and local authorities and in addition to our CUA protocols they are expected to adhere to and abide by the safety precautions that are outlined in further detail below.
All registered attendees must be fully vaccinated as defined by the government of Canada.
Self Screening Prior to Entry
Meeting Attendees, exhibitors, vendors and speakers will be required to participate in the following self-screening wellness check, daily, before coming onsite:
On-Site
Once on site, attendees agree to regularly and thoroughly wash and/or sanitize their hands throughout the day. If requested by the conference or event venue, attendees agree to observe social distancing guidelines and or properly use fascial coverings. To assist attendees in complying with these requests, the following protocols are in place.

Masking is no longer required indoors, at the conference venue, according to the provincial rules of PEI.
“People in Prince Edward Island are no longer required to wear masks in indoor public places or in workplaces where distancing cannot be maintained. Masks are still strongly recommended in indoor public places.”
Disposable masks will be provided and available at the Registration Booth throughout the duration of CUA 2022, should attendees prefer to be masked.
Appropriate signage/floor decals will be placed at registration and around the venue to reinforce spatial distancing and other safety reminders when necessary.
Hand Sanitizers stations will be positioned throughout the conference venues and meeting spaces for your convenience.

CUA 2022 has taken and will continue to take all reasonable precautions to prevent against the presence and spread of the disease but does not guarantee against exposure; and therefore, in choosing to attend the CUA 2022 Annual Meeting in Charlottetown, PEI you acknowledge that you are assuming a risk that you may be exposing yourself to COVID-19 and its potential health risks.
